Sampling system
The sampling system is designed for automatic or manual extraction of a representative sample of oil, gas or other media from a pipeline or tank for subsequent analysis of product quality.
Main functions:
- Sampling without compromising the pipeline’s tightness
- Formation of an average (integrated) sample for a specified time interval
- Transfer of the sample to the analysis unit or laboratory
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for quality and safety
Structure of the system:
- Sampling device (automatic or manual)
- Sample averaging chamber (storage tank)
- Sample preparation unit (heating, filtration, pressure stabilization)
- Microprocessor controller/control cabinet
- Piping and shut-off and control valves
Application:
- As part of the OQQMS and the OQIMU
- At commercial oil and gas metering units
- When shipping products out of bulk and transshipment terminals
- At oil refining and gas processing plants
