Straight sections of pipeline
Straight sections are elements of a pipeline system designed to ensure a stable flow of the working medium before and after measuring devices such as orifices, flow meters and other metering devices.

Main functions:
- Formation of stable and laminar flow
- Increased accuracy of flow and pressure measurements
- Minimization of flow distortions out of bends, fittings and constrictions
Characteristics:
- Diameters:
- Pressure:
- Materials:
- Design:
- Length: determined depending on the requirements for the measuring section (usually 5-10 pipe diameters)
Application:
- As part of flow measurement units (OQQMS, GFMS)
- At oil and gas production, transportation and processing facilities
- In any pipeline systems where measurement accuracy is required
Straight sections ensure correct operation of flow measuring devices and help to increase the accuracy of recording process parameters.
